- The Albers family has just as the Coebergh family its roots in Grave and could be traced back to around 1720. The rise of the Albers family started with Wilhelmus Josephus Albers who started the produktion of margarine (immitation butter)in 1875 in Grave and moved to Dordrecht (near Rotterdam) after he was not allowed to expand. His son Francois Reinier Jacob (married to Emily Fox) sold the factory to the Jurgens family, the founders of the Unilever concern.
